This year's Girl Hockey Day will be sponsored by Wasabi Technologies, and will take place on March 15th at TD Garden. The reason for this event is to encourage women around the world to feel empowered on the ice, and to let their love for hockey truly shine. It doesn't matter how old you are, what your skill level is, or if you've even played the sport before; Anyone woman with a love for hockey is welcome to Girls Hockey Day.
The event will include many different hockey-related activities. As the day goes on, participants will be able to learn the skills and techniques required to compete on ice at the clinics that will be going on starting late afternoon until the end of the day. This Year's Women's Beanpot are giving their time to help volunteer for Bruins youth hockey. Another notable women's organization that will be generously donating their time to this exciting day is the South Shore Women's Hockey League.
