The regular season for the New Jersey Devils has not gone according to plan and after several weeks of uncertainty and the likelyhood of missing the playoffs, moments ago the Devils organization have fired Lindy Ruff as head coach.
Travis Green has been named as his replacement and will remain interim head coach for the remainder of the season. Ruff, who has had stints in Buffalo and Dallas as head coach was with the Devils organization for four seasons.
