During the game Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden pitting the New York Rangers vs Tampa Bay Lightning Mikhail Sergachev collided with Alexis Lafrenière and went to the ice and did not get back up, being in visible distress.
This was Sergachev's first game back since mid-December and it seems this could be a significant Knee injury which would keep him out another extended period of time. The severity of Sergachev's injury prompted medical attention, with the player eventually being stretchered off the ice.
