Bruins Prospect Earns Huge Honor

Bruins top prospect Georgii Merkulov got a small taste of the NHLearlier this year after tearing up the Minors for most of the season. With The Bruins getting injured players back, he was no longer needed, and the club wanted to make sure they were maximizing his playing time and sent him back to Providence.
Merkulov was voted to the AHL All Star Game and showed once again why he is forced to be reckoned with. He scored two goals and has one assist helping the Atlantic team advanced to the All-Star Finals.
Head Coach Ryan Mougenel believes that Merkulov earned this opportunity by making himself a standout this season.
"The biggest thing for Georgii is that he's making noise with his offensive play,» said Mougenel. "He's making people notice him and he's standing out. He's a testament of guys that aren't drafted. They have to go and make noise and he's done that."
It won't be long until Merkulov is an everyday player in the NHL and Bruins fans have a bright future with this top prospect coming soon!
