As the hockey world is still in deep mourning over the tragic deaths of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, there have been many questions on what will happen to compensate their loved ones.

According to the NHL CBA, in the aftermath of this tragic incident, it was announced that Johnny's wife Meredith Gaudreau and their 2 children will be compensated a large sum of money, but in reality nothing can ever replace losing a loving husband and father.

His family will receive $1 million and the entirety of Johnny hockey's salary for the 2024-2025 season, which comes out to an additional $10 million.

Following the horrific passing, Meredith took to Instagram to pay a beautiful and heartfelt tribute to her late husband that makes your heartbreak for the family.

"The absolute best dad in the world. So caring and loving. The best partner to go through parenthood with. John never missed a single appointment. Was the best at putting the baby to sleep and the Apple of Noa's eye. I love how much she looks like him. We are going to make you proud. We love you so so so much daddy"

As stated, no amount of money can ever replace or fill the hole of losing a loving son, brother, husband and father, but fans can be rest assured that his family will be financially taken care of.
