It has been reported that the Bruins made Swayman an offer un $7 million AAV which was refused since he is looking more in the realm of $9 million per season.
There is no doubt Swayman is worth $9 million per year but the issue lies in the Bruins available cap space which is $8.6 million meaning the Bruins will have to trade someone to make room for Swayman.
It will be interesting to see what Sweeney does since he now knows Swayman won't take a low ball offer.
