Dyck was drafted by the Bruins 183 overall in the 6th round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, by after they did not put pen to paper with him for his entry level deal, he became a UFA (unrestricted free agent) this summer and has been seen training with his new team as a part of their rookie camp.
Still just 20-years-old, Dyck had a marvelous season and the best year of his career with the Swift Current Broncos of the WHL. He posted a 25-7-2 record, a .911 save percentage (SV%), and a 2.70 goals-against (GAA) in 35 games.
Some fans were shocked that they did not attempt to sign him to an entry-level deal, but with Jeremy Swayman, Joonas Korpisalo, Brandon Bussi and Michael DiPietro all in great spots with the organization, it makes a lot of sense.
