The 25-year-old star goalie has been an RFA all summer, and with the NHL season right around the corner, he is still without a contract, but good news came out when he was spotted practicing at this years captains practice.
Ryan Whitney of Spittin' Chiclets reported that he heard the Bruins offered 4-years/$6.2 million AAV, which is not even close to what Swayman and his representation have been rumored to be looking for. Nothing has come out to deny the fact that Swayman could be looking for upwards of $10 million AAV.
Whitney makes a great point that, as of right now, no matter the risk the Bruins believe their is with giving a big contract to Sway, he holds all the cards/leverage as Linus Ullmark is no longer with the team.
As the season looms closer, the further away a signing feels,, we will have to just wait and see.
