The Oilers decided to fire their head coach Jay Woodcroft 13 games into the season after an abysmal start.
They hired Kris Knoblauch who helped the team go from 31st in the league standings to the Stanley Cup finals in his first year behind the bench.
If the Oilers end up winning the cup, Knoblauch will be the sixth NHL head coach to come in during the season and help his team win the Stanley Cup.
The other 5 coaches to do this are Craig Berube with the Blues in 2018, Mike Sullivan in 2016 with the Penguins, Darryl Sutter in 2012 with the Kings, Dan Bylsma in 2009 with the Penguins and Larry Robinson with the Devils in 2000.
The Oilers and Knoblauch can be the sixth team to do this but with have the hard hitting Panthers in front them which it will not be easy.
