Current Bruin Jake Debrusk gave a statement in regards to his advice "It's been nice to see him around the rink and talk to him a little bit. He has reached out and sent some messages. Miss that guy...obviously someone that I leaned on a lot...speaks volumes to his character."
Jake DeBrusk on still receiving advice from Patrice Bergeron: "It's been nice to see him around the rink and talk to him a little bit. He has reached out and sent some messages. Miss that guy...obviously someone that I leaned on a lot...speaks volumes to his character."
This statement really shows what kind of impact Bergeron had on the players when he was still playing. However, this is no surprise that Patrice Bergeron continues to reach out and help his former team. He spent his entire 19 year career in Boston and was the captain the final two. This shows his character and his dedication to the Bruins franchise and truly shows he was only and will forever be a Boston Bruin.
