At this year's trade deadline, the Bruins didn't make a huge splash, as they added fourth-liner Pat Maroon and defenseman Andrew Peeke. However, there were rumors that the Bruins would trade both Jake DeBrusk and Linus Ullmark, however, both of them stayed with the team post trade deadline.
Jake DeBrusk will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, however, since the trade deadline, Jake DeBrusk has 2 goals and 1 assist in 3 games including a game winner in overtime in their last game against the Canadiens. He may be an unrestricted free agent in the summer; however, he is a rental player that many teams would love to have for a playoff run as he has a good chance to have his 3rd straight 20 plus goal season. Linus Ullmark has been incredible since the trade deadline as he is 2-0 since then and has stopped 56 of 58 shots, and if he continues to play this well and you add Jeremy Swayman, this very well may be the best goalie combination going into the playoffs. It is still unknown how the offseason will go for these two, however they will be huge factors heading towards and in the playoffs.
