The end of the adidas era for NHL jerseys is approaching, and a new supplier has been chosen. However, fans are unhappy with the NHL's decision.
A Disappointing Choice by the NHL
The NHL has named Fanatics as the official jersey supplier for its players, which has been met with disappointment due to Fanatics' history of producing subpar fan jerseys since their 2017 debut.

Fanatics will replace Adidas as the NHL's outfitter of on-ice uniforms and authentic jerseys beginning after next season. The deal is signed through 2035.
Innovative design changes are unlikely to occur until the 2026-27 season at the earliest.
Fanatics has developed a poor reputation in recent years due to cheap materials, inadequate customer service, and terrible quality control, making them the least desirable choice for most hockey fans.
It is expected that only minor enhancements will be made to the basic fan jerseys, while prices will likely increase to match flagship jersey levels.
The league's decision is unfortunate, particularly given the long-term commitment that extends until 2035.
