Bruins Head Coach Calls Out NHL After Win Against Red Wings

Boston Bruins coach Jim Montgomery was not as happy as you would expect after the Bruins extended their current win streak to three games. In his post-game interview with Boston Globe reporter Kevin Paul Dupont, Montgomery expressed frustration in opponents' apparent gameplan to target Bruins star players David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand. The refs' inability protect star players was the center of Montgomery's frustration. Their refusal to protect star players have let opponents continue to attack this key aspect of playing against the Bruins.
Montgomery had this specifically to say:
"I do think though that there was a gameplan to go after Pastrnak and Marchand", Montgomery said.
Montgomery is hoping he is heard, and his stars will get the protection they deserve, protection that other stars such as Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby have been getting year in and year out.
