The Bruins are amid a three-game win streak, two of those wins coming with Jeremy Swayman in net. The Bruins' 25-year-old goaltender has been outstanding this year. Coming into the season as the back-up to Linus Ullmark, he has quickly earned much more playing time then your typical back-up. The Bruins are essentially splitting time between Swayman and Ullmark.

NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman has reported that Swayman could be in line for a major extension:

"On the 1st, there are some free agents who can sign. Players who sign one-year deals can sign, and I think there's going to be some interesting ones coming out of this. I'm really curious to see, like Jeremy Swayman is one.

You know, like I had said before, I thought that Tyler Bertuzzi was a guy Toronto had talked about a long-term deal with, but I don't expect anything like that right now. To me, one of the guys I'm really watching is Swayman." - Elliotte Friedman

Swayman's numbers this year would certainly back up the idea of signing him to an extension now. This year Swayman has a 11-2-4 record, a 2.22 Goals Against Average (3rd in the NHL), .928 save percentage (tied 2nd in NHL) and two shutouts. The Alaskan native has certainly earned his money already, he has also (as some have suggested) made Ullmark expendable and possible trade bait for the Bruins this year.
