Milan Lucic's career has been in a downward spiral ever since earlier this fall when he was arrested for Assault and battery on a family member. He has since plead not guilty; however, the Bruins had no choice but to cut ties with the longtime Bruin. This has led to an awkward situation because they can't officially terminate Lucic's contract until he is proven guilty. During this suspension, Lucic hasn't been paid a dime which can cause any athlete hardship.
Lucic has been exploring some unusual ways of making income in his time being suspended. He has recently registered for the website "Athlete Speakers". This website offers fans a chance to book athletes for speaking engagements. There have been other Bruins legends who have also used this site, such as David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand and Don Sweeney.
