After the Boston Bruins bested the Washington Capitals 4-2 and prepare to take on the New York Rangers for the second time this preseason, a key member of the Bruins was missing from morning skate and the reason has been revealed.

According to multiple sources, Justin Brazeau was not seen practicing with the team. Head coach Jim Montgomery told the media today that Brazeau is not suffering from a serious injury. he just needed what they call a "maintenance day" to recover from some nagging soreness from previous games.

Maintenance day for Brazeau, per Montgomery. He says there's no serious injuries on the roster at the moment. #Bruins

Since coming over to the Boston Bruins organization from the Toronto Maple Leafs, Brazeau has spent the majority of his time with the Providence Bruins of the AHL until he got his chance last season with the big club. He played 19 games and managed to score 5 goals and 2 assists for 7 points with a +/- of +4. He also appeared in 9 play off games for the B's on their run in 2023-2024 where he netted 1 goal and 1 assist with 12 penalty minutes.

It seems like he has had a good offseason as he is performing well in training camp and in the preseason games he has appeared in. He scored a beautiful goal against the Washington Capitals off a slick assist from prospect Georgii Merkulov.

Do you think Brazeau will make the Boston bruins out of camp this season?
