Former Boston Bruins forward and current Florida Panther Tomas Nosek received some bad injury news today that will keep him out of the lineup for some time.

After Playing 2 season with the Boston Bruins and then signing with New Jersey devils last offseason, he managed to skip being a PTO player and earned a 1-year, $775,000 contract with the reining Stanley Cup Champions the Florida Panthers. Nosek played in 32 game for the Devils last season and it was one to forget, he scored 2 goals and 4 assists for 6 points and a +/- rating of -11 in 36 games.

It seems like a recuing nightmare for the 32-year-old as he dealt with injury troubles all year and was a healthy scratch a good amount of the time and now he he starting off his 2024-2025 campaign on the injured list.

Here is the clip of #FlaPanthers Tomas Nosek going hard into the end boards. He had to be helped off the ice.

When the Panthers faced off in the first game of the preseason against the Nashville predators, he took a hard and awkward fall into the boards, he was slow to get up and made his way off the ice and did not return. Originally head coach Paul Maurice said he was day-to-day but now he has a new update.

Nosek is set to miss "weeks, not days."

In 141 games over two seasons as a Bruin, Nosek had 10 goals, 35 points, and 65 hits.

It is tough new for Nosek as he was trying to find his game again and have a big bounce back season but it seems he will have to put that plan on hold for at least a few weeks.
