Born to play: Abby Poitras chases her professional hockey dream

As Matthew Poitras is setting to make the Boston Bruins roster out of camp, the hockey and athleticism runs deep in the family as his sister Abby is setting her sights at professional hockey.

Abby Poitras is in the middle of her first development camp with Merrimack college and is showing well in her first preseason games. With the PWHL in full swing and receiving loads of support, Matthew might not be the only Poitras excelling in professional sports in a couple of years. If all goes well in her 3-4 years in university, she can join one of the 6 new teams in the professional women's hocky league.

What is awesome for the siblings is that Merrimack is a short drive to TD Garden where Matthew is hoping to play.
