Ever since coming over to the Boston Bruins, Hampus Lindholm has been a main stay on the teams top pairing, but with a dip in offensive production last season, he is looking to improve on some of his weaknesses.

In 2022, Lindholm scored a career high in points with 10 goals and 43 assists for 53 points and an unbelievable +/- rating of +49. Last season was a different story, he saw a major dip in scoring only netting 3 goals and 23 assists, but still played solid defensively.

Lindholm told reporters after his pregame skate yesterday that he is looking to sharpen some of his weaknesses to have a big bounce back year.

"Finding ways to get more pucks to the net," Lindholm told reporters after pregame skate at Warrior Ice Arena on Tuesday, per team-provided video. "You look at the D's who have a lot of stuff happening in front of the net, they funnel pucks and find ways to be shot-ready. As a D-corps and myself, I think we can do a better job of that, but definitely myself, getting more pucks to the net.

"Quality shots too. Getting them, shooting them. Getting them to where you want them to be to maybe create second chances or maybe get one in the net."

Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery has some high praise for Lindholm and how he is able to handle his defensive responsibilities, but would like to see him dictate the pace of the game better offensively.

"You have five guys out there and I've always prided myself on trying to make everyone else around me better," Lindholm said. "That comes a lot from working as a group out there, doing a lot of give-and-go, talking. And with me and (Brandon Carlo) having played a full year together, you learn where you have each other. It's a partnership. When you play with a D partner, it doesn't matter if you play one game together or a hundred, you need to work together. It makes a game a whole lot easier."

Lindholm played his first game last night against the Capitals and had a solid game but didn't seem his offensive abilities had much of factor.

Hopefully he can have a big bounce back season as the Bruins are going to need it.
