Billy Sweezey vs Sean Couturier Sep 28, 2024
The chances that Sweezy will crack the opening night roster with the Boston bruins is fairly low, but he is proving to the organization he is willing to drop the glove and defend his teammates when they need it, even if it is in preseason. He was bullying Flyers top round draft pick Matvei Michkov with some shots and Flyers captain Sean Couturier was happy to step in and try and take care of it with his fists.
When asked after the game what was said betweent the two players, he said he wanted to show the team he wasn't afraid to drop the mitts when it matters most.
Sweezey signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Bruins this offseason after playing for AHL Cleveland Monsters in the Columbus Blue Jackets organization.
