One of the top priorities in camp is finding a replacement for former Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk who decide to leave for the Vancouver Canucks in the off season.
The Bruins signed a bunch of players this summer such as Elias Lindholm and Nikita Zadorov but no wingers to replace DeBrusk. The Bruins plan on filling the second line winger spot with a playing within the organization and it looks to be between Matt Poitras and Fabian Lysell.
Poitras is naturally a center but has been switched to the wing for the start of training camp were he seems to be playing well.
Despite never playing wing at the professional level it looks like the Bruins have faith that Poitras can do it.
On the other hand there is Fabian Lysell who could be solid option on the wing after having an incredible year in the AHL last season with the Providence Bears. Lysell did not get called up at all last season by the Bruins as they felt his defensive game needed more work despite being solid in the offensive zone.
It will be interesting to see who the Bruins end up starting the season with on the second line between Poitras and Lysell.
