Bruins tough guy forward Trent Frederic is entering the final year of his contract and fans are hoping GM Don Sweeney does let him go.

Frederic was drafted by the Bruins and seems to be continuously improving every season. Last season he hit a career high in goals, assists and point with 18 goals, 22 assists for 40 points, surpassing his total from the previous year of 31 points.

In 2022-23 with the Bruins, Frederic cemented himself as a solid secondary scorer, posting 17 goals and 31 points in 79 games. However, he took his game to a new level this past season, recording new career highs with 18 goals, 22 assists, 40 points, and 204 hits. His improved offensive production and extremely gritty style of play made him an immensely impactful player for Boston in 2023-24.

The 26 year old's role will likely grow even more this year and if he is able to continue to improve his production every season as he has done so far, it would be a mistake for the Bruins to let him go. Not only has Frederic proved to be a skilled forward but he is also extremely gritty, a quality all teams are looking for nowadays.
