He told the media today that Poitras who played part of the season last year before going down with an injury but is now fully cleared to join the training camp roster.
Poitras went under the knife in February after having a hot start to the season, but now after a long time of recovery, he is ready to make his mark again in camp to try and crack the Bruins roster.
In 33 games last season for the Bruins, he scored 5 goals and 10 assists for 15 points while achieving a +/- rating of -4 rating. Overall, the 20-year-old forward has had a promising debut to his NHL career and he will now try to fill the role Jake DeBrusk has left after leaving for the Vancouver Canucks.
