Late last season there were rumors and speculation about the Sens relocating to a new arena and it seems that it is finally going to happen. The recent reports indicate that the teams new home arena will be in the LeBreton Flats instead of the Canadian Tire Center.
The Canadian Tire Center has been where the Sens have called home since 1996 but proved quickly to be a bad decision as the rink is located in a terrible place which resides just outside the city. It is hard to get too and traffic makes it frustrating for spectators to reach in order to watch their favorite team play.
It is notable to stress that the timetable for the team to move arenas will be by at least 2030, but new owner Michael Andlauer is stressing the importance for the team to start playing there as soon as possible.
