Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney just provided a big injury update on captain Brad Marchand and it is not the best news.

After 3 offseason surgeries for the captain, he was unable to train and skate as he normally would to get ready for the season. He revealed that he had reparation on his elbow, groin and abdominal, which have been bothering him for some time.

Yesterday at the first day of Bruins training camp, General Manager Don Sweeney gave an update on Marchand's health and readiness. He stated that he will not be apart of the main reps with the projected starting lineups, but feels confident he will be ready for when the season kicks off.

Don Sweeney said that Brad Marchand is not expected to skate with the main group tomorrow as he gets back up to speed from offseason surgeries.

He adds that Marchand remains on track to be ready for the start of the regular season.

At least there is some positives about the start of the season but it makes some fans nervous that he will not be training full reps until then.
