At the age of 35, Bruins first year captain Brad Marchand is on pace to score 40 goals this season. That would be a feat in and of itself, but when you learn that the veteran is coming off a major double hip surgery, it becomes that much more impressive.
Marchand has been a mainstay of the Bruins organization for over a decade and was a leader on the team long before being named captain this season following the retirement of Patrice Bergeron. There was a bit of uncertainty heading in to this season regarding Marchand's age and ability to produce as the sole leader on the ice, but his skill and resiliency have proven to be more than enough to lead his team to success this year.
