Canucks Make a Huge Statement Regarding Pettersson

The past few weeks has seen many players taken through the rumor mill being as the trade deadline is upon us. At this time of year, it seems as though no one is safe, even superstars such as Elias Pettersson.
Pettersson has been the topic of trade discussion since his contract is coming up and there were rumors that the Canucks were not offering him enough. Those rumors are now dead being as the Canucks have announced they have come to an agreement with Pettersson for an 8 year contract at supposedly 11.6 million per year.
Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the club has agreed to terms with forward Elias Pettersson on an eight-year contract.
Canucks fans can now rest easy that one of their superstars will be staying in Vancouver for the next 8 years. Pettersson has 75 points in in 62 games and is on pace for 99 points this season.
