If Bussi gets his opportunity and runs with it, if Swayman does sign, there will be a major dilemma on GM Don Sweeney's hands as they will have to decide to either send down Bussi or Korpisalo. Because Korpisalo is on a one-way contract, iof they decide to keep Bussi around, waivers or a trade are the only options the Bruins have.
Head coach of the Providence Bruins held Bussi in high praise with his performance last season, but even more so due to his work ethic and offseason training this summer.
Coach Ryan Mougenel also emphasized that patience must be a key aspect of Bussi's camp and season as Korpisalo is an extremely competent goalie and he will certainly have a bounce back season with a much better defensive team in the Bruins.
Nonetheless, having Bussi and Korpisalo battling with one another is only healthy competition and is a major positive for the Boston Bruins as a whole. At the end of the day, a lot of these scenarios are only possible if and when Swayman rejoins the team.
