Crosby new contract seems to have affected Marchand's as well

News broke yesterday that Sidney Crosby signed a new deal with the Penguins for 2 years with his famous $8.7 million per year like the last contract.
While Crosby has stuck to $8.7 million on his new contract since he is a very superstitious and 87 is his lucky number, this may actually also affect the market.
bruins captain Brad Marchand is set for a new deal sometime this season and now that a player as skilled as Crosby has signed for such a small amount, other teams such as the Bruins will be making smaller offers as well.
Does this mean Brad Marchand signs an extension for $6.3 million?
Both Crosby and Marchand are known for taking hometown deals and the Bruins captain has made it clear that he wants to retire in Boston but hopefully the Bruins do not make him to low of an offer like the Lightning did to Stamkos or he will be forced to walk away.
