Bruins GM Don Sweeney had a solid July 1st as he was able to acquire Elias Lindholm and Nikita Zadorov.

While these were huge additions for the Bruins, they also lost Jake DeBrusk, a top 6 winger and have yet to find a replacement.

It looks like since most of the big names have now been signed, the Bruins will attempt to fill that whole from within the organization with either Georgii Merkulov or Fabian Lysell.

Lost in all the additions that came in, the Bruins still have an opening on the right side in the top six and it doesn't sound like Sweeney is going to fill that from within the organization. It feels like youngsters Georgii Merkulov and Fabian Lysell could very battle it out in training camp for that spot.

While this is not a bad plan, since both players are young and have very little experience, this could end up going poorly for the Bruins.
