It was announced today by the general manager of the St. Louis Blues Doug Armstrong that former Boston Bruins star, Torey Krug will miss the entire 2024-2025 NHL season due to a ankle injury that requires surgery.

The ankle of Krug has been an going issue for him all offseason as he did everything he could to rehab and get it ready naturally, but unfortunately, him and the team came to the conclusion that surgery is the only option.

The 33-year-old Michigan native appeared in 77 games for the Blue last season, he scored 4 goals and 35 assists for 29 points while posting a +/- rating of -31.

Krug is undersized but a solid offensive, puck moving defenseman who captains the Blues powerplay, with out him again is a huge blow to the team and they will need to look for a suitable replacement.

We wish him all the best with surgery and a speedy recovery.
