Hawk Tuah girl takes a shot at Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman
Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman cannot seem to catch a break these past couple of days as contract negotiations continue to get worse from the looks of things.
During a press conference Monday, Cam Neely was asked about Swayman's contract to which Neely stated that if he was Swayman there would be 64 million reasons why he would be at camp right now.
This quote by Neely ended up going viral online as every was wondering if it was true and if so, How much is Swayman looking to get since his reported asking price has been around $8 million AAV. Swayman's agent then spoke up saying that this was the first time he or Swayman had ever heard that number basically saying that Neely was lying.
Everyone seemed to have joined in on the fun regarding this press conference including the newest internet sensation "Hawk Tuah Girl" Hailey Welch. A fan replied to one of Welch's post stating that he should be the next guest on her podcast to which she replied no since he rejected an offer of $8 million at 8 years, clearly joking around.
This reply from Welch showed the hockey community since no one knew she would be a hockey fan since she grew up in Nashville but it looks like she might have grown up watching the Predators after all.
While all these jokes continue to make their way around online, the Bruins and Swayman are no closer to getting a deal done as the regular season approaches at a rapid pace.
