Injury Update: Elias Lindholm's injury rules him out & will not return to the Bruins lineup
Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery has some unfortunate news to announce as Elias Lindholm will be not rejoin the Bruins lineup as expected.
Yesterday when he gave an update on Lindholm's time frame to return, it was fully expected that he would be joining the team today and even possibly play in the 2nd pre-season game against the Washington Capitals. Now, He stated that Lindholm is listed as day-to-day and will not play or partake in hard training this whole week.
Lindholm has been sidelined since the first day of camp due to injury but the team, nor Montgomery will provide was type of injury it is that is keeping him from seeing the ice. The only thing they are saying is that they are being extra cautious in his recovery and do not want to push it to aggravate the ailment anymore.
As the Bruins biggest signing of the offseason, where they reached a contract of 7-years, $54.2 Million, having him off the ice and out of pre-season games for this long is definitely worrisome. He is fully expected to be the teams 1st line center and have a bounce back year where he did not have his best season with the Vancouver Canucks.
