Insider reveals Brad Marchand does not look like himself after his 3 major surgeries this offseason
When the Boston Bruins took the ice for the first time in the annual captains practice, Brad Marchand was obviously in attendance but an NHL insider revealed some worrying news.
The Bruins captain announced that he played last season with some nagging injuries that affected his play as he elected to get 3 surgeries during the summer. There were some worries that this could affect his play and NHL insider Mike Johnson commented on what he saw out of the future Hall-of-Famer.
Marchand would also comment after the practice last week that the surgeries he underwent put a major halt in his normal training schedule to prepare for the upcoming season.
It is important to note that it is too early to tell if his surgeries will be a a deterring factor this season. A clear picture of his game will only be able to be evaluated once he gets back into shape and starts skating more. We will provide more updates throughout camp.
