The Boston Bruins are in rough waters after a recent report came out that Jeremy Swayman's agent is asking for around $10-million AAV, and history shows that a hold out is not out of the question for his clients.

Swayman's agent Lewis Gross, who also represents William Nylander faced a similar situation back in the 2018-2019 season when Nylander and his agent were asking for a big number and ended up sitting out the entire season until the deadline. Now the Bruins number one goalie could be on his way to sitting out under the advisement of Goss which would be a disaster for everyone involved.

«I don't know, getting into the last 40 minutes before the deadline, I talked to my agent and said let's just call them.' [The contract] was a big part of my future, and I wanted to be here.» - Nylander
.

The fact of the matter is, $10-million is a lot for a goalie to ask for, no matter how good you are. Per Bruins reporter Michael Sullivan, there are 3 main reason why a goalie isn't worth that high of an AAV. There is just too much risk for teams and Swayman has yet to prove himself as the #1 of guy over an entire season with out being in a goalie tandem.

Do you think there is a possibility of Swayman sitting out?
