There was a stretch where all we spoke about was how amazing the Bruins goalie tandem has been. With some of the recent losses, and small drop in play, that was temporarily forgotten. Swayman reminded everyone just who he is, very quickly with a 43 save performance against one of the most balanced teams offensively in the league. His coach took notice. Montgomery credited Swayman with staying in the game and battling after letting up two deflection goals that he really had no chance on.
Swayman increased his win total on the season to 17. He still sits in the top five in the NHL in save percentage with a .922 while having 3 shutouts.
The Bruins turnaround is starting with their most consistent players all year, their goalies. That has to spell good things for the Bruins moving forward.
