Fans gathered at TD Garden Monday afternoon to watch the Bruins take on one of the league's top teams in hopes of breaking their four-game losing streak.
Marchand, who just surpassed 1000 games in the NHL, celebrated in front of family and friends by scoring the game winning goal in shootout.
The captain was asked about the goal after the Bruins' win, stating that he blacked out during the play and doesn't remember what happened.
Fans can now rest easy now that the losing streak is officially over and can look forward to the next match up Wednesday against the Edmonton Oilers.
