The Boston Bruins do have a few holes in their lineup heading into the season with Jeremy Swayman still not signed and no true second line winger but the center position is where they have an abundance of talent.

One player that broke out last year is center Johnny Beecher who bounced up and down between Boston and Providence last season but showed his worth in the playoffs as an excellent faceoff man.

Beecher seems to be a lock as the Bruins fourth line center this season as he knows his roll and is a great grinder who knows how to battle and win draws which can be extremely useful towards the end of the season in big games.

Head coach Jim Montgomery told reporters that Beecher has improved a lot and knows his role and what he has to do to help the Bruins win hockey game this upcoming season.

Jim Montgomery on Johnny Beecher: "He's come back with the idea of 'he knows what he is,' and he really has progressed in all areas. ... I think he's thought about what he needs every day to be a real good Bruin and help us win hockey games." #Bruins

Clearly Beecher is not a top line center but could end up being one of the best fourth line center in the league if he continues to improve like we saw last season as he ended the season as a big part of the lineup.

The Bruins do have a ton of talent at center which means even if Beecher does start the season off in Boston, he could end up in the AHL quickly if he begins to get off his game and think that his spot is a lock for the whole year.
