The Bruins and Leafs have a legendary rivalry which Boston often seems on the winning side, especially in recent years.

Despite this, it looks like the Leafs will looking to incorporate the Bruins system for goaltenders into their own lineup. The Leafs have struggled lately with goaltending but seem to have a decent pair in Joseph Woll and Anthony Stolarz which is why they will look at a 1A-1B system next year.

As for Woll, he has a little more experience than Swayman did when he got his opportunity, but he's in a similar boat. He was a fantastic collegiate goalie who if given the opportunity, can shine in a similar way. Woll was given that opportunity last year, but unfortunately due to health, never fufilled it for an entire season. However, if he stays healthy and has a 1A/1B tandem year with Stolarz, it's possibly that these two can replicate the Bruins success.

Clearly this system has worked for the Bruins and other teams which is why the Leafs will look at implementing it this upcoming season with their current duo.
