Over the past several hours, the news that Bruins forward Milan Lucic had his domestic abuse case dropped by the prosecution has ignited social media. The 35-year-old left winger has been out of game action since October 21st when he was arrested on a domestic abuse charge that has been dismissed.

Now with the case behind him, it appears Lucic is preparing to revive his career with the Bruins by meeting with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman to be reinstated into the NHL.

Milan Lucic wants to return to the NHL and his attorneys are confident today's decision by prosecutors to drop his domestic assault case will make it possible for him in the future, per @WCVB.

This news will bode well for the Bruins as they continue to hold first place in the Atlantic division with the Florida Panthers directly in their sights. Despite his age and declining play, his experience and physical play will help the Bruins on their bottom 6. He also has a low-cost factor as he only has a $1 million cap yet for this season.

It's expected that this news will continue to change as the situation remains fluid and fans will need to see how Lucic will fare being out of the game this long.
The Bruins will be at home for their next game when the Los Angeles Kings come to town and will play on Saturday February 17th at 12:30 PM.
