This season has certainly not gone the way Bruins forward Milan Lucic had hoped after re signing with the Bruins during the offseason for $1 million. His hope was to finish his career with the Bruins and chase after a Stanley Cup since the Bruins are one of the best teams in the league.

That idea was cut short when Lucic was arrested for a domestic abuse charge that was dismissed earlier today. With this breaking news, many fans have reached out on the X platform to see if he will return to the lineup as soon as possible.

NHL insider Jimmy Murphy of Boston hockey now weighed in on what he thinks will happen.

Considering his low salary of $1,000,000 per season, he would certainly help the Bruins bottom 6 especially as the playoffs approach. I think he would spend some time in Providence on a conditioning stint since he hasn't played since October 21st.

His salary would give them some savings however, if he is able to play, he would be better off doing so and giving the Bruins a better chance for a long playoff run.

In his limited return to the Bruins, he had played four games he had two assists and two penalty minutes.
