It is not a surprise that there is no love lost between Matthew Tkachuk and the Boston Bruins fans, but in the brand new Amazon Series «Faceoff: Inside the NHL», his recent comments are taking the hatred to a whole new level.

The series focuses on the NHL and its players, giving fans a look behind the curtains of the lives they live and what they go through as professional athletes. In one of the episodes, it starred reining Stanley Cup champion Matthew Tkachuk of the Florida Panthers and one moment in particular has Bruins fans talking.

The scene highlighted an interaction between Tkachuk and Brad Marchand as they faced off against one another in the 2nd round of last season's Stanley Cup playoffs.

You all right? You all right? Never seen a captain quit on his team,» Tkachuk said to Marchand, per The Athletic.

Heh. Don't even listen to that,» Pastrnak told Marchand in response.

It is clear why these comments would make Bruins fans upset as they know how hard Marchand works and how much he sacrifices for his team. It was taken to a whole new level when they found out their captain had 3 offseason surgeries for injuries that he played though the whole season.

It was not specified when Matthew Tkachuk made those comments, but an easy guess would after Marchand took a hard hit from Sam Bennett in the 3rd game of the series and subsequently missing two games before losing in game 6.
