Per the Daily Face Off, NHL Insider Frank Seravalli confirmed that the Boston Bruins will not be signing Pacioretty.
He noted that the Leafs GM Brad Treliving and the Toronto Maple Leafs will be working out a deal for him to land in Toronto, all they have to do is figure out salary cap issues and then the deal will get done.
With the Leafs planning to sign him to a PTO, if he performs well and makes the roster out of camp, they can sign him for fairly cheap which brings a lot of upside to their season. Pacioretty is a multiple 30+ goal scorer in the league but has been sidelined due to injuries the last few seasons, but he is looking to make a big comeback.
He has played 16 seasons in the NHL, scoring 330 goals and 338 assists for 668 points in 902 regular-season games split between the Vegas Golden Knights, Montreal Canadiens, Washington Capitals and Carolina Hurricanes.
