New Trade Chip for Boston Could Bring Bruins Major Return

Will they go defense? Will they go offense? Are they going to bring in a star or a bargain? Not much has been said as to what the Bruins are going to give up in order to bring these players in return.

We all know the Bruins' situation, barely any cap space left (under $1 million) and no draft picks in the first three rounds this year. A trade will almost certainly mean giving up a young player, but who will that be? Jake DeBrusk keeps getting brought up and is still the most likely to be moved considering the failed contract negotiations.

Another interesting name that has surfaced is John Beecher.

Despite modest stats, the 22-year-old forward has surfaced as a potential target due to his cost effectiveness which can help now in the playoffs and help a team build for the future. There have already been some questions as to why he has not garnered more playing time with the Bruins and might be better off somewhere else ready to shine.

With the trade deadline coming quick, Don Sweeney has an interesting puzzle to solve making the Bruins better while keeping a young future here, Beecher will be one of the names tossed around as a "do we keep him or trade him" player.
