The NHL made a major announcement today as commissioner Gary Bettman announced that the salary cap will be making another jump in 2025-26.
For the 2024-25 season, the team salary cap currently sits at $88 million and next year it is set to make a 5.1% jump to $92.5 million for next year which will give teams an extra $4.25 million to work with this off season.
The NHL is poised for another exciting season, and the latest news from Commissioner Gary Bettman has sent ripples of excitement throughout the league. A projected NHL salary cap of $92.5 million for the 2025-26 season has been announced, signaling a significant increase from the current $88 million cap. While Bettman cautioned that this figure is preliminary, it's a strong indication of the league's robust financial health and its commitment to continued growth.
