Ryan Whitney of Spittin' Chiclets unloads on Don Sweeney: Accuses him of being a liar and holding a grudge

It is no surprise that Ryan Whitney of the Spittin' Podcast and Bruins general manager Don Sweeney have issues with one another, but today the beef went to a whole new level.

Last week, when rumors were circulating about the issues the Boston Bruins are having with signing Jeremy Swayman, Sweeney took noticeable expectation to Ryan Whitney and the Spittin' chiclets podcast. He called them out saying the information they report is Bull$%#@ and even insulted the platform by calling them the «Spitting Up On Yourself Podcast».
Now, Ryan Whitney has clapped back at Sweeney, defending what he said and what he was told by credible sources. He went into his history in dealing with Sweeney personally and did not have the nicest things to say. He did iterate he has a lot of respect for his playing and management career, but on a personally level, he does not like him and thinks he is lying about the Swayman situation.
"Sweeny the Harvard nerd coming at me for what I thought was an obvious mistake, Sweeny doesn't like me and I'm not a big fan of him either, I'm just gonna be honest, I'm not, and I respect the hell out out of him, I believe since he's taking over the Bruins they have the most points in the NHL since he became GM and he's made some great moves."
"I met on Sweeny along time ago and he wasn't very friendly or very nice to me when I was training and working out right as I turned to be a professional. He wasn't a friendliest guy so I really don't care. I don't really care at all that he doesn't like me and that's obvious, but I will say this, I gave that report and I got that report from a very, very credible source, who's been correct on a lot of things." - Whitney
He went into how no matter what way you look at the situation, Sweeny made a major mistake by not taking Swayman to arbitration, as well as trading Ullmark away to the Ottawa Senators before having a plan in place. He fully stands behind what he said and thinks Sweeney is taking his frustration out on him.
"I will say this, this entire negotiation was fumbled from the beginning, that is my opinion on it, it was fumbled from the beginning and when you decided to trade Ullmark before you had had to deal with Swayman and you decided to not take him to arbitration, but none of that happened, and all of the leverage was put into Jeremy Swayman's camp and this guy, I do not think personally he's going to give in. I don't know where this goes from here, but his agent also represented
William Nylander, and when did he hold out to? December...." -
