Katie Gaudreau has broken her silence for the first time since her two beloved older brothers, Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau lost their lives to a drunk driver who struck them while cycling on August 29th, just one day before her wedding.
Today, Katie posted a heartfelt social media post on Instagram, honoring and remembering the special relationship they had with one another. The post came with a series of photos followed by a message that highlighted what her two older brothers meant to her.
"To know these two was to love these two. There are absolutely no words I have to express the bond my family shared. The entire world knows there would never have been a John without Matty or Matty without John. The absolute best big brothers a little girl could have asked for. This will never be a goodbye post because I will never stop saying your names and honoring you both. I'll take the best care of mom, dad, Kristen, Mer, Madeline, and your babies," Katie Gaudreau wrote in her caption.
Her wedding was to take place just a day after her 2 older brothers passed, but the family decided to cancel the event.
We want to extend or deepest and most sincere condolences to Katie and the rest of the Gaudreau family during this time. If you have it in your hearts, please go donate to the GoFundMe campaign to help out Matthew Gaudreau's expecting wife, any little bit helps.
