Stalemate: Boston Bruins fail to sign Jeremy Swayman

With only just over a week until camp begins, the Boston Bruins have failed to sign their star goalie Jeremy Swayman and will have to rely on Jonas Korpisalo and rookie Brandon Bussi.
According to the Boston Globe, the contract negotiations between Swayman and the Bruins have come to a stalemate and are far apart on philosophical differences.
«I wouldn't be surprised if this goes into camp and he's not signed, Shinzawa said on Sept. 14 in "Bruins Rinkside" show. "I think we've come to know Jeremy as someone who is very sure of himself, very confident, very secure in what he's done and what he can be."
Regardless of what conflicting reports are saying, their is clearly a large gap between both parties and we now know that it probably will not be resolved until after game begins.
One thing that is certain, reports suggest that Swayman is looking for a contract with a higher AAV than Predators goalie Saros who just signed an eight-year deal worth $61.92 million ($7.74 million AAV).
