Surprising update regarding DeBrusk's contract

Recent reports have come out that forward Jake DeBrusk is looking for a much bigger contract than what is currently being offered by multiple teams.

Some in the Bruins front office apparently feel like the team is better off over paying him than losing him all together.

DeBrusk struggled during the season but prove he can provide in the playoffs after getting 10 points in 12 games this post season.

The Bruins forward is coming off a 2 year $8 million contract and is not seeking a big pay raise for his new contract.

From what Sweeney has told the media, it looks like he would like to keep DeBrusk but only at a certain price which likely will be lower than what the forward is looking for.
