The Boston Bruins took on the New York Rangers last night for the first game of the pre season in an intense battle between the two teams.

In the first period, Bruins defenseman Parker Wotherspoon was blind sided by Rangers forward Brennan Othmann. Wotherspoon was on the ice for a while before being taking down the tunnel and into the locker room.

Parker Wotherspoon takes a fairly late hit from Brennan Othmann and heads down the tunnel as a result. No penalty on the play. NESN decided to call the game right there.

Despite being shaken up on the hit and it looking like WOtherspoon was injured and would not return, he was seen back on the bench not too long after that.

At the end of the second period, Wotherspoon took it upon himself for some revenge on Othmann.

Wotherspoon tied up Othmann as the horn sounded and decided to drop the gloves, giving the young Rangers forward a small beating for his late hit.

Brennan Othmann had two late hits on Parker Wotherspoon through two periods.

Wotherspoon got his revenge:

Clearly Wotherspoon was not a fan of Othmann's hit and wanted to handle the matter himself.

Fans were quite happy to see the Bruins defenseman stand up for himself.

If you're throwing late hits turtling isn't a good look.

Ol boy thought he was tough making late, blindsided hits, then he got punched in the face a few times and then he just wanted to hug it out.
